Geography comments: "Cheremukhovo-1 is one of several karst caves of the Chertovo Gordishche rocky massif situated on the Sos’va River, 3.5 km upstream of the Shegul’tan River mouth in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia".
"Beds 1-7 are of Holocene age". There is a single radiocarbon date of 4930 ± 75 on a postcranium skeleton from Bed 5.

Habitat comments: "The cave is situated 5.5 m above the river flood plain, and is 32 m long in total. Bed 6 is composed of loose, fine-grained, greenish gray polymictic silty sand, enclosing rusty clay lenses. It contains alluvial-speleogenic formations, gravel and small limestone debris. The faunal remains represent a typical cave burial in terms of bone sets and their preservation state. Lithic artifacts consist of 21 items of knapped flint found only in two beds: 20 from Bed 7 and one from Bed 10".
